By Gloria Whelan

Review by Julie of the Wolves

Growing up in Tsarist Russia, Katya had no idea what kind of country she really lived in. She lived in a mansion with her fabulously rich mother, and she thought that everyone was as rich and happy as they were. Growing up, she thought that life was all about clothes, parties, and fancy things. When Katya turns 12, however, she begins to see just how poor most Russians really are, and she sets out to change that, all while continuing her own wasteful lifestyle.

This book would be very useful if you planned on becoming Indiana Jones. However there are sections that are useful for everyday people. Some people may find this book stressful because they know they won’t remember any of it when they need it. For a fun humorous read or a conversation-starter; this is the book.
